Vicor BCM Bus Converters Overview
BeiLuo supplies genuine Vicor BCM bus converter modules, isolated fixed-ratio DC-DC converters that provide an intermediate bus voltage to power non-isolated point-of-load regulators, or serve as an independent isolated DC source. The BCM is a Sine Amplitude Converter (SAC) that operates at high frequency with a low series impedance, so it delivers low noise, fast transient response and industry-leading efficiency and power density. Because the ratio is fixed, the secondary voltage tracks the primary, and the module behaves as an efficient capacitance multiplier, letting bulk capacitance on the low-voltage bus be scaled down and freeing board space at the point of load. The BCM6123TD1E5126T00 steps a 260 to 410 V primary bus down to an isolated 47.5 V secondary with a 1/8 ratio at up to 25.7 A and about 97.7 percent efficiency, while the BCM6123T60E15A3T00 provides a 1/4 ratio from a 36 to 60 V primary to a 9 to 15 V secondary at up to 130 A. Both offer 4242 VDC isolation, under and over-voltage lockout, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection, and optional PMBus control. Every module is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. BeiLuo keeps mainstream BCM models in regional stock and supports architecture, thermal and EMI design with an in-house FAE team.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I read the BCM bus converter table?
VIN Range sets the primary bus, VOUT the isolated secondary and Ratio (K) the fixed transformation. Output Current, Isolation and Efficiency confirm the current, safety and thermal fit.
Because the ratio is fixed, the secondary tracks the primary.
What is a fixed-ratio bus converter used for?
A fixed-ratio BCM provides an isolated intermediate bus to feed non-isolated point-of-load regulators, or acts as an independent isolated source. It is a Sine Amplitude Converter with low noise, fast transient response and high efficiency.
It is the heart of 48 V and high-voltage DC distribution architectures.
How does capacitance multiplication help?
Because the BCM has a low series impedance and a fixed ratio, bulk capacitance on the high-voltage side is reflected to the low-voltage side scaled by the ratio squared. That lets the low-voltage bus capacitance be scaled down, shrinking the number and size of capacitors and freeing board space.
Our FAE team can help size the bus capacitance.
Are the BCM modules genuine and documented?
Every Vicor BCM BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Mainstream models are held in regional warehouses.
